WAA!

February 29, 2012

Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago is no stranger to jokes regarding her sanity. In fact, she has been repeatedly called Brenda (brain-damaged) and Rita (retarded). There was even a joke that she will be modeling for a watch jointly made by Seiko and Patek Philippe named Seikopatek.

These jokes, notwithstanding, the good Senator has proven herself time and time again as a jurist non pareil and at the same time a legislator of good standing. A Ramon Magsaysay awardee for government service, Miriam Defensor Santiago was a trial judge of note and a professor of constitutional and international law before she was called to a ‘higher calling’. She was first elected to the Senate in 1995 after narrowly losing the presidential elections of 1992. In the four times that she ran for the Senate, she only lost once and, that, as a consequence of her position on the Estrada impeachment trial.

But more than these achievements, what drew all these attentions to the lady senator were her antics bordering on the lunacy. The way she speaks, the sound of her voice akin to that of a fingernail screeching on the blackboard, her choice of English words that can only come from dusty, cobwebbish attics, her high-falluting attitude, and the way she laughs in an unnatural and contrived manner are all good soundbites that never failed to get a laugh or two. Or a mocking remark.

True to form, the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Corona has drawn the best and the worst from Miriam Defensor Santiago. And sadly, the worst always came out on top. Her daily tirades, lectures, bombasts (or whatever you may want to call it) on the prosecution are not lost on the people watching the trial. Of course, the bumbling Mr Tupas and co. and the manner by which they handle their case didn’t help in abating the lady senator’s contempt for them. But this does not excuse Miriam Defensor Santiago, senator or not, in treating the prosecutors in a huff and condescending manner. Senator or not, this is not an excuse for Miriam Defensor Santiago to bully or treat others as an inferior or to grandstand on national tv at the expense of another person.

Lost in all these are the way a public official should act in public or how a person, high or low, should treat a fellow human being. It is a sad commentary that decency is a word largely forgotten in today’s milieu, at least in the Philippine context. And seeing our high officials, elected or appointed, acting in a pompous manner is truly disheartening. Fruit of the poisonous tree, indeed! No pun intended.

It is no wonder that we have been electing the likes of Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago to public posts. Words like decency and respect have been transplanted by corruption and impropriety, by indecency and disrespect. We have grown calloused as a people as to confuse ‘kagandahang asal’ to acts inimical to it. And we wonder why we can’t line up and wait for our turn buying movie tickets?

And when a bully is confronted by someone who has been bullied and tormented for a long time, what are we to do? High or low, senator or not, we all have our thresholds. After all, we are just human beings with all our frailties. Who among us have not a moment of insanity? And when you are confronted by words like ‘gago’ and other demeaning terms on national tv, would you not have snapped? Would you not have snapped if abused and treated as such, even if you are faced by the prospect of imprisonment?

Now, is it too much to ask the lady Senator from Iloilo and Quezon City and her fellow Senator-judges to give a little leeway to Atty. Vitaliano Aguirre II for his momentary act of insanity? A momentary act that the lady senator only knows too well.

tanks and other armored assets start rolling in metro backed up by about 3,000 troops – philippine star.

looks like the ‘evil’ one (neri’s tag, not mine – bcb) has decided to dig in and not give in to the wishes of many an edsa 1 ‘deja-vuers‘. imagine what will happen to gma if ever she relinquishes her hold on power or if ever she was forced out of malacanang. lawsuits left and right would be the least of her problems.

poor luli! she is put in this untenable position where she can no longer defend the sins of her father, the hypocrisy of her mother and the stupidities of her brothers.

as the oscars are being shown live on tv on a holiday, i betcha muslim retailers will be all smiles as brisk sales of pirated copies of these oscar-winning and oscar-nominated movies will characterize the latter part of today and of the days to follow. dee…vd… dee… vd… dee… vd…

how bad history will judge ex-judge ben abalos only time can tell. a lifetime of doing good on the part of the son and, mayhaps, the grandson cannot erase the stigma of being an abalos.

imagine, robbing the people blind of US$130,000,000.00. what gall! what greed!

why is erap so tickled by the idea of being president again? can a convicted plunderer really have a shot at being a president again? hmm…

so the battle for the hearts and the minds of the ‘people’ have begun. now that gma is on the verge of (seemingly for the nth time) being ousted from her eiffel tower, the ‘people’ that she and her family have cheated… este so dishonorably and condescendingly served… oops! the people that she and her family have so enslavingly loved and cared upon [sic] is now so suddenly significant and so suddenly relevant in the all-important power play.

it is so easy to depose a misbehaving president. it is not, as one may suppose, as easy as changing a bad system.

now that the possibility of the ‘evil’ one being removed from malacanang is very real, isn’t it time to think about not only changing the leadership but the system as well. can we not have a timeout in between substitutions and clean the parquet while at it?

a post-gma scenario MUST include structural changes in the system to prevent all these edsas from happening again. it is no longer with a sense of pride for one to be a part of another edsa. the novelty is gone. edsa has become a cliche.

it has become such a vogue nowadays to have a personal recipe of some common, everyday fare such as sinigang na corned beef. or a croatian grilled tilapia. or god forbid eggs sunny side up with a twist of whatever. but beef burger?! isn’t a burger just a lump of beef with salt and pepper in it? ask ray kroc… but what is this burger that one would die for? a burger is a burger is a burger. unless it is wham’s beef burger with blue cheese dressing! (can’t resist the plug. 🙂 )a burger is a burger is a burger. a berjer it is not.

hamburger ham-burg-er noun: a patty of ground meat, usually beef.

hamberjer ham-berj-er noun: a patsy of unusually corrupt greed, este breed.

esperon, commander of the armies of gloria, general of the dark side and loyal servant to evilus maximus is making rounds of all the service command making sure that everybody is in line. in line with what general? in line with the dark side?

all roads leading to metro are closely guarded by the local elements of the pnp and augmented by the personnel and armored equipments of pnp saf.

one can feel an atmosphere of fear in the air. fear of a simultaneous outburst of the people’s wrath?

one word: paranoia

again from the philippine star: friend, foe won’t be spared – gma

“Mrs. Arroyo made the statement even as she maintained that no one in the First Family was involved in anomalous government deals.” – philstar.com

poor benjamin! totally isolated. a pariah nonpareil. fed to the dogs by the dark side and maligned by the forces of the good.

if only the ex-comelec chair had listened to cory to transfer his allegiance to the forces of the good (that was when cory visited him during the height of the neri expose), e di bida pa siya ngayon ala chavit! tsk tsk tsk

if only neri had continued with his expose, e di bida pa siya ngayon ala clarissa!

so many ifs! who would have thought that a probinsiyanong intsik would be the man of the hour. that could have been abalos or neri. that would have translated to a goodwill of 3 generations of abalos mayors in mandaluyong (maybe four! and a congressman and senator abalos to boot and a clean slate of comelec-related anomalies). speaking of missed opportunities! sayang talaga!

remember himmler, goebbels and otto von schmuck? ohh… they’re very much in the here and the now. they’re very much behind the scenes manipulating, conniving, orchestrating and scheming. and so is tol mike.

i just wish i am a friend of tol mike. i would have been 50k richer! but better to be a friend of ass ex sec manny gaite. you would have been a half a mil richer!

oh well, the bestest friend to have ever is fg. period!

abalos sr

i believe that ben abalos is not guilty of the charges that jun lozada has levelled against him.

i believe that the surname abalos is synonymous to the words immaculate and clean just as the word imeldific is synonymous to ostentatious extravagance.

i believe that abalos did not threaten jun lozada with the words, ‘p.i., wag kang magpapakita sa wack-wack at mandaluyong. .. ipapapatay kita!’

i believe that judge abalos did not enrich himself while in government service.

i believe that mayor abalos did not dip his hands in the city’s coffers.

i believe that chairman abalos is not involved in any way at the cheating done at the last election.

i believe that benjamin abalos’ future kin will be proud of him.

i believe that benjamin abalos has a low handicap.

i believe that benjamin abalos is a patriot and that he loves his country very much.

i believe that ben abalos did not take advantage of the girls given him by people of zte while he was in china. he is not a d.o.m.

i believe that benjamin abalos, chair of wack wack, is not capable of taking commissions at the expense of his countrymen and his country.

i believe that ben abalos sr did not participate in a sexual orgy while in mainland china.

i believe that the surname abalos will be remembered in history as being the symbol for integrity, decency and honesty.

I’M JUST JOKING. DON’T TAKE THIS ARTICLE SERIOUSLY.

’tis a bad year for the balimbings. the people have seen through their machinations and decided they do not want anything to do with these people.

not even the gang of the most popular noontime show in the land today can save what, from the beginning, is a doomed campaign.

makati canvassing:

jejomar binay: 198,000 (votes more or less)

lito lapid: 10,000 (votes more or less)

pare 1: seems like leon guerrero just fell off his horse.

pare 2: more like he jumped off from the top of the 30 plus storey makati city hall!

before: 44 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws

now: 44 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws

that was manny pacqiuao’s latest fight record until he was KO’d bigtime by ms darlene antonino custodio.

darlene3.jpg

the words ‘diminutive’ and ‘petite’ seems to be in vogue nowadays. thanks to supergirl darlene custodio who did the unexpected. when all the macho gringos of mexico were battered and floored by our very own manny pacquiao, can one really expect a giggling size of a schoolgirl knocked the wind out of the people’s champ? but she did it. convincingly and with a lot of elan and class.

i have this gut feeling that manny would have won if only fg mike arroyo was around.

one thing good happened in this year’s elections. the taartits woke up to a new reality in philippine politics. they found out, much to their dismay, that the people aren’t voting for them simply because of their good looks and popularity. let’s face it, what have these movie superstars done in the senate? asiong, asiong jr, anak ng panday, leon guerrero, nardong putik, et al? aside from the zzzz’s and the uhmmm’s, (and ooops! the carabao law) were they able to contribute anything for the good of the nation? thank god the electorate have wisened up!

one taartits is even proud to say that whenever they make movies in the slum areas, they would immerse themselves with the squatters and thus, gaining an insight on their problems and their hopes and thus, oneness with the mahihirap. good for you! but to equate this with running for the senate? is immersion with the squatters for a week enough qualification for them to run? as dave chappell and david letterman would put it–whaaat??? si sir naman, nagpapatawa! kala ko pa naman siryosong aktor si sir… komedyante pala!

don’t get me wrong. i have nothing against these movie idols voicing out their opinions, albeit asinine at times. i would even waste two hours of my time, if given a free ticket, a supersize coke light and a bag of popcorn, just to watch their movie (i heard that mr cesar montano did well in his last movie but never really had the time and the initiative to see it). but for them to run for the senate is another thing. please, let us not make the senate a depository of muck and filth. we have enough of them in the lower house.

a bicolano he is not (he is actually 1 part ilonggo and 1 part pampangueno). but because gma is his mother and he is in dire need of a career, he is now a congressman from the 1st district of camarines sur. oh! how i wish i have a mother like his’… ngiii!

golly! it cost prospero pichay close to P200 MILLION to lose the election. and trillanes P15 MILLION (of ms madrigal’s money) to hover in the magic 12. that’s quite a difference considering that pichay is not related to lucio tan or the zobels.

poor mr pichay! if only he have known that he can spend a much lesser amount of money to run for the senate, he would have launched a coup d’etat against gma last year!

is it a coincidence that there is less cheating in this year’s elections compared to the 2004 elections and fg mike arroyo out of action and convalescing at la vista? the mind is willing but the flesh is weak?

all things point to a massive election fraud from the 1st district of camarines sur to maguindanao to the pronouncement of tu spokesperson tonypet albano on the day after the elections that tu will trounce go 12-0.

one thing is missing though. when the fat man failed to sing, the whole thing began scrambling down.

honasan and trillanes is in. omigosh! just when you thought that the people have wisened up with their electoral choices comes two names that we can do better without. but considering the heavy anti-gma sentiment hereabouts, it is no longer a surprise that the electorate will vote for these two personalities that launched a coup against gma.

senator trillanes? isn’t this a slap at esperon’s face? i bet that if esperon run for the senate, victor wood will have garnered more votes. or joselito cayetano.

thank god, garci lost!

in the final analysis, no matter how gma and her minions and, hehehe, tony lopez put a slant on this, 2007 was a vote against gma and her machiavellian policies.

riddle:

this guy is not a cebuano but he is called dong. he made a run for the senate in 2004 and failed. now, he ran for congress and again failed. who is this guy?

senator lito lapid on the english language: marunong naman akong mag yes or no at ladies and gentlemen…

cesar montano on pork barrel: …(we) should utilize the proper utilization of the (pork barrel)…

nyek!

another case of double redundancy, este, redundancy, this time on the senate, is when montano wins and lapid loses in his bid in makati and therefore retains his old seat in the senate. dalawang bobo sa senado.

another example of kamangmangan from another actor running for the senate…

tito sotto on the aquino bugging incident: …kung wala ka namang tinatago e bakit ka matatakot?

hasn’t the good comedian heard of the right to privacy guaranteed the citizens by the constitution itself? isn’t this statement the height of ignorance. this is the sort of argument one would hear in local barbershops and groups of tricycle drivers waiting for their passengers. i am not sure if tito sen is playing it to the masa (to display his masa appeal) or simply hi-fiveing his ignorance. i am inclined to believe that it’s the latter. coming from a former senator, that statement is truly asinine!

now, who among the three is the dumb, the dumberer and the dumberest?

it is easy to forgive these clowns for their intellectually-challenged insights. but what about the chairman of the commission on elections – atty benjamin abalos? when asked to comment (in his capacity as comelec chair) on the unusual upsurge in violence happening nationwide, this was what he had to say: “grabe! tsk… tsk..”

the butcher palparan, as the principal nominee of the party-list bantay, is campaigning nationwide with malacanang and the afp top brass as his backers. a soldier in bulacan was even shot dead pretending to be a civilian posting bantay propaganda materials.

there is a strong indication that soldiers nationwide were being mobilized to help in the campaign not only of palparan’s bantay but also of the other government-supported party-list groups.

it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the iglesia ni kristo turned out to be the second biggest block voter in the coming elections. next to the afp.

i once have a tuta named bantay.

gringo met with gma in malacanang. hohumm…. i wonder what wonderful deals these two are cookin’… i wonder what mischief will happen to our country next…

they never learn… the dilg head tried at the very last hour to serve another suspension order on binay through his usec marius corpus. of course, binay evaded the order by saying it was served beyond office hours. the impasse was resolved only after they both agreed to serve the suspension order this monday. which, as we all know by now, will never happen as dilg sec puno deferred serving the order until after the election. and if binay lose to lapid, the suspension order will become moot and academic. whaaaaaaaat?! so why serve the suspension order on that day in the first place? but again, as we all know, binay wouldn’t let himself lose to lapid, if he can help it. as lapid would probably say of the dilg head, ‘looser!’

but then again, have you forgotten the ramos-remulla tussle when first caviteno and cavite primus maximus juanito remulla, who was then sitting governor, was beaten in remulla country by a tiny wisp of a nincompoop (what was his name again?)courtesy of then prez ramos. outwitted, outgunned and outnumbered. that was how it was when a guv go against a president. what more a mayor? kahit ba makati pa yan e. but hey, gma ain’t no ramos.

have you ever experienced seeing something in the newspaper that would make you wanna laugh out loud or vomit in disgust? this was exactly how i felt when i saw in the inquirer esperon’s expression of ignorance when he was likened by sen salonga to the late fabian ver. ‘clueless’ as to why he was likened to the late great (ver was the ultimate ‘tuta’) ver, esperon tried to cover his ignorance with more of his now patented ignorance. if only men and women are not being killed and/or are disappearing in a faster rate than during the martial law years, that inquirer article would indeed be laughable.

so general esperon, from what floor will you jump? the 8th or the 26th floor?

pichay has lately been feeding press releases to the major news organizations. in the news lately was an article saying that the ilocanos will be voting for him because his mother is originally from isabela. another said that due to pichay’s over-exposure in tv advertisements, he was gaining ground in the latest surveys conducted by both sws and pulse asia.

is pichay conditioning my mind so that when he actually win a senatorial slot, it wouldn’t be said that he won through massive cheating? let’s face it, pichay will only be proclaimed a senator if he is part of some organized and massive cheating scheme. does dagdag-bawas ring a bell?

the same goes true with singson, magsaysay, defensor and much of TU.

what genius a man has to have come up with the concept of dagdag-bawas! heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s johnnyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Reading the Sunday inquirer makes one think what accounting wizardry the present administration is up to once again. The P1B fund that it has lined up to supposedly feed the hungry is a lofty goal that made pgma’s feathery wings stand out and her halo soothingly visible.

But something about this P1B food-for-the-hungry project reminds me of an equally lofty project in the not so distant past. It’s the P728M fertilizer fund project that turned out to be a farce and a conduit for the large-scale vote buying and massive cheating that occurred in the last election. Let’s see: a coming election, a huge amount of money and the same lofty goal. Now, does the P1B food fund ring a bell? Let’s just wait and see if pgma’s feathery wings turn out to be a tail and her halo into horns. Big, pointed horns.

Will secretary duque turn out to be a jocjoc? What may seem to be unthinkable a decade ago may no longer seem remote nowadays. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed.

Ronaldo puno has finally decided not to represent the gentle people of hinulugang taktak in congress and instead continue to be the dilg head honcho during the elections and beyond. What was earlier rumored that mr puno will run for congress and contest the speakership of the house (a post which jdv has long appropriated for himself) turned out to be just that – a rumour.

With mr puno continuing at the helm of the local government post, expect stormy days ahead. Expect Gestapo and underhanded tactics being the norm and hare-brained security schemes being implemented for the purpose of securing for pgma the presidency until 2010. Of course, there is no denying that pgma will sit it out until 2010. And there lies the injustice! Itaktak mo, itaktak mo. Takatakatakatakatakatak!

With the triumvirate of puno, ermita and esperon firmly occupying what, for tol mike, can arguably be described as the center of power, are we seeing the dawning of a new age of repression and Nazism? Thinking of these three powerful personalities reminds me of himmler, goebbels and otto von schmuck respectively! Otto von schmuck who?! a-schmuck-by-any-other-name-is-a-schmuck that’s who!

There is no doubting the fact that once upon a time, Ltsg Antonio trillanes was a young officer of courage, integrity and loyalty. Young and full of idealism, trillanes wrote a paper tackling the subject of corruption in the Philippine navy. In it he cited a certain naval officer that turned around a once corrupt training unit of the Philippine navy into a model unit. In his own strong words reminiscent of oakwood, trillanes emphatically stated that, “the complete eradication of corruption was achieved.” And that, “the success of the netc model was a ray of light amidst the darkness of moral decadence.” Thus he concluded that the complete eradication of corruption can be achieved by having a leader that has these primary requisites: 1. political will, 2. technical competence and 3. moral integrity. Hmm… But trillanes’ idealism is overshadowed not by his eager determination to achieve his advocacy but by his naivete. By choosing gringo honasan aka kuya to be his leader, trillanes sealed his own fate and those of hundreds under his’ and his colleagues’ command. Here lies his folly. Choosing gringo to be his magdalo leader violated his own requisites for a strong leader. In the first place, gringo as a political personality has no political will judging from his lackluster performance in congress and in the senate. Gringo as an army colonel (and a baron of his class at that) is technically incompetent judging from the number (nine?) of coup d’etat that he helped plan and launch and which not even one succeeded. Moral integrity? Military adventurism with countless of lives and careers destroyed as a result is not exactly one’s definition of an officer and a gentleman.

It only shows that idealism can only get you so far until your schoolboy naivete yanks you back and give you a good drubbing in the behind. Then reality sinks in. pray tell me, then, why I should vote for ltsg Antonio f. trillanes iv?

The late Philippine star columnist teddy benigno once wrote something about Richard Gomez during the latter’s attempt to get himself into congress under the party-list group m.a.d. and if my senile mind will permit, mr benigno described mr Gomez’ foray into elective politics as ‘absolutely hilarious’. And that mr gomez should go back to his cave and/or the planet where he came from (obviously not the same planet as us humans). Teddy benigno must be smiling at his grave right now. a good number of pinoy folks share his observations about mr richard Gomez’ entry into the senatorial derby as absolutely hilarious. but no one is laughing at the joke that is Richard Gomez. Which is quite sad. Richard, you’re trying too hard pare. Let go. Maga-fence fence ka na lang muna bro.

Pare 1: pare, what can you tell me about cesar montano. You know, the actor that decided at the very last moment to join the senatorial fray? any achievement? goals and platforms of government? hopes for the people and/or the nation?
Pare 2: ah si cesar?! ang ganda ng asawa nun pre! si sunshine cruz…

So ms. Tessie aquino-oreta has apologized on tv. A case of better late than never? I dunno but at least trillanes has his idealism to speak of.

Ma’am, a contrived contrition does not make it. Sincerity does. But thanks for the effort anyway.

the plight of ka satur is indicative of the growing confidence of gma and her minions to thumb their noses at the people and ignore the rule of law and/or manipulate the law in the name of perpetuating themselves in power. and where is this confidence coming from? is it from the shrinking or divided middle forces that find themselves incapable of showing a cohesive opposition to the oppression and the iniquities that are fast becoming the trademarks of this glory-less administration?

aren’t all of these events linked together to prevent another humiliating impeachment procedure against gma in the next congress? by telling the opposition that gma’s partymates in the coming 14th congress has an overwhelming number and any plan of passing an impeachment complaint would be a futile exercise.

———————–

if that is the case, then i would ask ms liza masa to have a plan b and a plan c in any eventuality that she’ll be the next in line to be framed up.

———————–

such is the tragedy that is gma that she is left parrying and defending her administration from impeachment and other destabilizing blows. hers is the longest presidential term after marcos. her administration’s legacy? the graft-ridden macapagal boulevard.

———————–

i really wouldn’t mind if i vote for fpj-pm the party list if only to have fpj’s daughter ms llamanzares in congress. she seem to be sensible, articulate, intelligent and of the right frame of mind.

tessie aquino-oreta is running for senator using her intials TAO for easy name recall. imagine if she had married an enriquez or an echiverri instead of an oreta! tessie aquino-echiverri?! how i wish! malabanan would surely be more than happy to make her its poster girl. and ohh so apt!

now it can be told that the police are generally inept that the military has to field its own men in metro manila barangays doing police work.

—————-

the gall of esperon and company to foist upon the citizenry the very mask of martial rule under the guise of community service. the problem with esperon and those whose toilet-flushed brains came up with this community service thing is that they think the people are dumb and stupid as not to notice this insidious display of might. well general, you are insipid in appearance as in thought.

——————–

the similarity between general esperon and the schoolboy that takes another schoolboy’s lunchbox forcefully and under a threat of violence? they are both bullies. the difference is that general esperon is a grown man and in a position of power that knows the right vis-a-vis the wrong and wilfully and knowingly chose to take the side of the wrong.

——————–

the militarization of urban centers is just another manifestation of the fascistic tendency of the philippine’s own version of hitler (or should i say mini hitler!) in the person of gma. add to this palparan’s work in the visayas and bulacan, the killings of media and left-leaning personalities nationwide, the growing curtailment of rights (that is guaranteed by the constitution of the republic of the philippines mind you) of the citizenry-at-large and the overt and unabashed muscle-flexing of the afp and the pnp against the people that it should be protecting in the first place.

—————–

the arroyo administration’s apparent and seeming unconcern with the glaring human rights violations being committed under its very nose is disquieting at the very least. is there really a bargain between gma and the military that the latter will support the former until 2010 if only the former will let the latter be in pursuing its own agenda against its enemies, real or imagined?

——————

another arroyo’s silence on this matter is quite deafening. pag bad ka, lagot ka… where is the people’s dragon?

——————

ladlad, the group of gays, lesbians and transgenders should be given a voice in congress for this group is truly a representative of one of the marginalized sector of our society. one thing good that came about ladlad’s push for recognition is that it showed the current commissioners of comelec their real personalities – homophobes or homophobics among other major character flaws!

mr remoto’s foray into the limelight first came when the party he is representing was disqualified to be a bona fide party list group. from a party list nominee, he became a senate candidate. lately, he is bent on running as qc’s 3rd congressional district candidate. pabago bago ata ng isip ha. this only proves that mr remoto is indeed a miss remoto! go girl go!

——————

poor nikki. one of those who fought against the extension of the us military bases in the philippines, ms coseteng was the picture of a benign and enlightened bourgeois capitalist. her heart seems to be in the right place and yet… her present run for the senate seems to be eluding her. her only folly was that she took the side of her leading star in the anti-us bases movie — the erstwhile actor erap para sa mahirap.

———————-

the u.s. senate is leading the investigation in the recent rise of unsolved political killings and other human rights violations in the philippines. where are these saints when the nicole rape case was being tried in court?

good news: more money is in circulation in our economy thanks largely to mr pichay who is spending big time on tv advertisements promoting his candidacy.

bad news: my money or your money? your guess is as good as mine.

fearless election forecast for 2007:

the biggest winners: tito sotto, ping lacson, gringo honasan and joan osmena.

the biggest losers: the filipino people

———–

consolation prize is tessie aquino-oreta on the 24th list with chavit rounding the 25th in the latest sws survey. seems like aquino-oreta’s role in the derailment of erap’s impeachment is etched in the minds of the people forevermore.

———–

unlike his aunt, however, noynoy seems a likeable and decent fella. i’d love to write noynoy in my ballot come election day. but the thing is how can i reconcile mr aquino with the bloody dispersal against the farmers of hacienda luisita? oops! another thing… i am not registered to vote this coming election.

————

it is now official… let it be known that ms kris aquino aka big bird’s wife is now vehemently opposed to lacson’s program of government which in a nutshell is known by its acronym h.o.p.e.

———–

have you seen mr harvey keh’s email that has been circulatiing the mail circuit of late? isn’t it a pity that a boy with so much future would entertain leaving the country because of garci et al? oh please mr keh, don’t lose hope. look at james yap, the guy’s full of hope.

———–

ricky recto vs. vilma santos? poor ricky… when in fact his only mistake was not having nora aunor for his wife…

———–

if ricky is cain and ralph is abel, then is it safe to assume that vilma is the snake? oops… i haven’t read genesis for a long time now.

———–

everytime i see mr ricky recto on tv being interviewed the more i get the impression that he needed psychiatric treatment immediately.

———–

poor batangas! the province that has given so much of its sons and its sons blood (2nd only to cavite of course!) to the nationalist cause is now being lorded over by a jueteng lord and a nut case.

———–

have you ever noticed the frequency of those people climbing the monster billboards of edsa just to show-off or attempt to jump from them? i just heard a reporter (from gma news) ask somebody on ways on how to curb these people from climbing the billboards. duh! why don’t you stop covering these sideshows for a start.

mike enriquez: malalaman po natin kung ilan nga ba ang anak ni sen. ramon revilla sa aming pagbabalik…

kahit po wag na kayong bumalik. who the fuck really cares, mr enriquez, how many children the imbecile of a senator sired in his lifetime? and you call this news mr enriquez? go to belo’s for a change and have a facial. you’ve been patronizing maalikaya for the longest time it’s addling your brain.
